The new vehicle we recently purchased is already working as Mobile Clinic to help to treat leprosy, tuberculosis and HIV patients.  This purchase was an urgent need as the old one was giving us too much trouble with frequent break downs and brake failures. That made it so difficult to run our clinics smoothly and was also putting the driver and passengers in danger, as these clinics are held on the road and cater to the needs of the slum population. 

With the tremendous rise in skin and other monsoon related diseases showed in the recent months, buying a new vehicle proved to be for LSS of the utmost importance.

The Winner of the age group 6mths to 1 year Category

The winner of the 1yr. to 3 yrs category

Lok Seva Sangam, on 23.6.2009,  held a Healthy Baby Contest,for the slum dwellers of Bainganwadi  in which 13 participants took part, to create awareness about the way in which children should be taken care of. The topic covered both health and education.

Lok Seva Sanagam intends to have competitions like this on a regular basis to improve the knowledge of people in the area on health and education issues relating to the children. Should anyone wish to donate prizes for the following age groups we will be grateful:

• 6 months up to 1 year
• 1 year up to 3 years
• 3 years up to 5 years

Lok Seva Sangam needs a new vehicle to treat poor patients living in the slums of the L and M Wards of Mumbai and to dispense medicines. This vehicle is also used to treat Leprosy, TB and HIV patients.
